Numark Fluconazole 150mg Capsule

This 150mg single dose treatment is recommended for the treatment of vaginal thrush. It can also be used to treat your partner if he has thrush on his penis.

Dosage/Directions

Swallow the capsule whole with water. Thrush should clear within two days. If symptoms persist for longer than a week, consult your doctor.

Do not use - If you are under 16 or over 60 years of age.

• If you are pregnant, trying to become pregnant or breast-feeding.
• If you are allergic to Fluconazole or other vaginal thrush treatments.
• If you are taking the prescription medicine Cisapride.
• Without consulting your doctor or pharmacist, if you are taking any medicine other than the contraceptive pill.

Do not use if:
- You have irregular or abnormal vaginal bleeding or a blood-stained discharge, ulcers or sores of the vagina or vulva.
- You are suffering lower abdominal pain. Pain or difficulty in passing urine.

For MEN, do not use without first talking to your doctor if:
- Your sexual partner does not have thrush,
- You have sores, ulcers or blisters on your penis.
- You have an abnormal discharge from your penis.
- Your penis has started to smell.
- You have pain or difficulty passing urine.

Before using the capsule you should see your doctor before using if:
- You have had two or more infections of thrush in the last six months.
- You or your partner has ever had a sexually transmitted disease.
- You are taking any other medication other than the contraceptive pill.
- You have had any disease or illness affecting the liver or kidneys or have had any unexplained jaundice.
